VI Instruments is an Authorised Online Dealer of all products listed on the online store.

The Client agrees that the entire agreement between the Client and VI Instruments(hereinafter called 'Supplier') will govern all future contractual relationships between the parties. By accessing this website and using any of the services or functions of this site, the Client accepts the terms and conditions stated below.

Payments and Delivery
The online shopping service makes it easy to find and purchase the special products you need. When you order and pay online, our intelligent system starts working to ensure rapid delivery.
VI Instruments currently accepts payment by:

  1. Electronic Transfer (EFT) through the secure Payfast online processing.
  2. Credit Card Processing through the secure Payfast online processing.
  3. Debit Card Processing through the secure Payfast online processing.

Delivery Time:
EFT & Credit Card - 2-5 working Days
The supplier will only ship the order(s) off once the transfer has reflected on our statements.
Should there be any delays due to stock shortages or courier problems the supplier will notify the client as soon as possible.
All our products carry a money back guarantee, provided items are in their original color & packaging.
Regrettably we cannot refund any costs on postage/courier fee's.

Credit Card orders will ONLY be shipped to a physical address with the card owner signing the delivery slip.

Due to the high rate of Credit Card fraud, VI Instruments reserves the right to reject and/or cancel any orders which might appear to be suspicious or fraudulent. In such cases VI Instruments will not debit the credit card and all necessary information will be submitted to the relevant authorities.

All items are subject to availability, if on receipt of your order the items you have ordered are not available in stock,
VI Instruments will inform you as soon as possible and you may request to cancel or amend the order or put it on back-order. Should you cancel the order, VI Instruments will be happy to refund you in full.

Prices listed on this site are not guaranteed and can change without notice, the supplier may, in its sole discretion decline any or all orders placed on this site where prices are not accurate at the time of a supplier price update or change.

Telephone, Postal Mail, Fax, or Email Orders
Telephone, postal mail, Fax, and email orders are not accepted. If you cannot use our convenient online shopping catalog, you may be using an outdated browser. To view content and place orders on our Web site, we recommend that you use the most recent version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Opera, Firefox, or Safari.

COD Orders
COD orders are not accepted.

Deliveries and Goods Recieved
Delivery for any or all items ordered on our site will only be cleared for delivery once the funds have been verified as paid into our account, this will also have an effect on the delivery time, prompt payment should be made in order to receive your items as quickly as possible.

VI Instruments are manufactured internationally.
VI Instruments is an Authorised Online Dealer of all products listed.
In the event of a product ordered is out of stock, a minimum 2 week delivery period can be expected. The client will be notified in such an event and the client reserves the right to cancel or continue with the order.

If you the Client chooses to not take delivery with insurance the order is carried at your own risk and the supplier will not accept liability for loss or damage to such property.

Once the goods have been received, it is the responsibility of the customer to check the goods and let the supplier know within 24hours of any problems. If you have received the incorrect items, the supplier will arrange for collection of the items and delivery of the correct items. If the items have been opened or tampered with in any way, the customer will be held liable for any charges or non-credit from our suppliers. Liability clause is restricted to the cost or repair or replacement of faulty goods or services or granting of a credit at the sole discretion of the Supplier.

Returns
All returns that have been opened will be subject to a 10% penalty on the selling price. Any price fluctuations will be charged for at Management's discretion.

In the event of goods being defective, the rights of the Client are limited to the factory guarantee of the goods supplied. To be valid, guarantee claims must be supported by the original Tax invoice and the undamaged packaging of the goods. All guarantees are immediately null and void should any equipment be tampered with or should the seals on equipment be broken by anyone other than the Supplier.
Under no circumstances will the Supplier be liable for damage arising from misuse or abuse of the goods.

All products are sold with a 7-day satisfaction guarantee. Should you not be completely satisfied with your purchase contact us within 7 days of receipt and let us know why you are not satisfied. We will then issue a return number and the return delivery address. Upon receipt the item will be inspected and if it is still in its original sealed packaging we will refund your money less 10% handling fee.

This website may contain links to other websites, we are not responsible for content displayed on those websites and any material or content on those websites are to be used for reference purposes only.

If the description of any goods contained in this website or invoice varies from that of the manufacturer’s description, the manufacturer’s description will be deemed to be the correct description and shall take precedence over all descriptions found on this website.

VI Instruments may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

The client agrees that neither the supplier nor any of its employees will be liable for any negligent or innocent misrepresentations made to the client.

The client hereby confirms that the goods and services on the invoice issued duly represent the goods and services ordered by the client at the prices agreed to by the client and where performance/delivery has already taken place that the services and goods were inspected and conform to the quality and quantity ordered. It is the sole responsibility of the client to determine that the goods or services ordered by the client are suitable for the purpose the client intends using them.

All orders placed on this website, will be binding and subject to these standard conditions of agreement and may not be canceled.

The Supplier shall be entitled in its sole discretion to split the delivery of the goods ordered in the quantities and on the dates it decides.

The risk of damage to or destruction of goods passes the Supplier on conclusion of the agreement of sale.

In the case of repairs undertaken by the Supplier, repair times given are merely estimates and are not binding on the Supplier.

If the Supplier agrees to engage a third party to transport the goods, the Supplier is hereby authorized to engage a third party on the Clients behalf and on the terms and conditions deemed fit by the Supplier.

The Client agrees to indemnify the Supplier against any claims that may arise from such agreement against the Supplier.

The Client has no right to withhold payment for any reason whatsoever.

The Client hereby agrees that any item handed in for repair may be sold by the Supplier to defray the cost of such repairs if the item remains uncollected within 30 days of the repair being completed.

All goods supplied by the Supplier remain the property of the Supplier until such goods have been fully paid for. The Client is not entitled to sell or dispose of any goods unpaid for without the prior written consent of the Supplier.

The invalidity of any part of this contract will not affect the validity of any other part. Any order is subject to cancellation by the Supplier due to force majeure from any cause beyond the control of the Supplier, including (without restricting this clause to these instances): inability to secure labour, power, materials or supplies or by reason of an act of God, war civil disturbances, riot, state of emergence, strike, lockout, or other labour disputes, fire, flood, drought or legislation.

Shipping and Handling Charges

VI Instruments uses multiple shipping rules to determine shipping and handling charges. In the unlikely event that shipping charges are higher than estimated, you will be notified by email. Please check products for shipping notes as you shop, to ensure your correct shipping costs and details.

VI Instruments only ships within South Africa. If you would like to enquire about shipping to other countries, please email viorders@rutherford.co.za for further information.
All shipping costs are calculated according to the total weight of your parcel’s at the time of checkout.
Please choose the shipping of your choice during the check out process.
No P.O. Box Address is acceptable, please know that delivery is to your door from when we receive stock from the suppliers which in some cases is delayed by 1 to 2 days.
Shipping costs are not fixed and may change without notice.

All orders are usually shipped within 3-5 working days from confirmation of order, subject to availability of stock and receipt of payment.

In the event of a product being out of stock, you will be notified by email.
In the event of the product being out of stock the client has the right to choose whether to continue with purchase order or to cancel.
If the decision is to continue then you will be notified of the new extended expected delivery dates.

The client hereby acknowledges that he/she has read and understood each term of this agreement and accepts them as binding.
